The
Brokerage Comedy Club opened its doors in 1980 and for the past three
decades
many of our nations greatest comedians have stepped onto our stage entertaining
audiences: Eddie Murphy, Ray Romano, Kevin James, Rob Bartlett, and Tim Allen...
just a few to name.
In January
2007, the Brokerage Comedy Club took on new ownership. Since then,
our 3000 square foot Club has seen tremendous changes.
Our
theatre, which accommodates 200 guests, was completely renovated with
state-of-the-art audio and video systems; 5 plasma flat screen televisions; and
a 6-foot on-stage screen offers guests the ultimate entertainment experience.
Our
cocktail lounge, The Vaudeville Café includes a 35-foot bar lined
with high
top tables and comfortable seating encourages guests to enjoy a drink or bite to
eat before or after performances. During many evenings guests will witness our
chef passing out complimentary hors dourves as they listen to the sounds of a
light
acoustic band performing in the corner-- All in an effort to insure our guests
receive
the most pleasurable experience from the second they enter our doors to the
moment they decide to leave us for the evening.
Our menu
has been enhanced and now offers guests an expansive selection of appetizers
and delicious dinners at affordable prices. Our signature drinks and specialty
coffees
add
just a little something extra.
We hope
our guests will become regulars at our Sunday Vaudeville Nights featuring
old-fashioned entertainment in the form of magicians, dancers, jugglers,
ventriloquists
and of course, comedy; perhaps guests will take to the stage themselves or sit
back and
watch aspiring comedians during our Wednesday Night Comedy Class followed
by
Open-Mike Night; throughout the week Long Island's finest musicians will
perform for
guests stopping by for a quick drink or some supper as the sounds of live music
fill our
club and theatre; and as always every Friday and Saturday night will feature the
very
best of comedy in our Headline Shows providing guests with the perfect
end to a busy
work week.
